What to Do with Your Old Baby Clothes
Memory Quilt
You know I have always enjoyed creative crafts or DIY projects. I have also always wanted to make one of those nostalgic T-Shirt quilts using my old shirts I have a hard time throwing away since high-school. I use the same excuse as so many other, “I may fit in them again someday.” Come on, admit it, I know you can relate. As I was thinking it is so frustrating that I feel like I have no time to make this quilt, I was thinking how cute it would be to make a Baby Clothes quilt too. So I turned to my sidekick at work, my good buddy, my business and life mentor… Google.
How to Make a Baby Clothes Quilt
Sometimes just the smell of old clothes can take you back to so many great memories. I remember when my husband and I were dating, he would spray his cologne on his sweatshirt, then give it to me when I was away from him, and I would put his sweatshirt on my pillow and smell him all night long as I went to sleep. It was so comforting and romantic at the same time.
Children grow up so quickly, so how do you keep them young? Their clothes can have so many memories, like the special dress her grandmother made her for Easter, the play shirt your son always wore to play in the dirt, their sports t-ball outfit, her baby cheerleading skirt, his favorite pajamas, or the stained shirt from your traditional family picnic in the part. They are all so cute.
Don’t leave these precious keepsake shirts in a box somewhere for mice and moths to destroy. Preserve them with a Baby T-Shirt quilt or keep your favorite ones in a Baby Time Capsule to give your child when he or she has their own child to wear them again. What a sentimental, heirloom, moment that will be. Get your decorative Baby Time Capsule from https://www.timecapsule.com/product/babystimecapsule/
